Semblant ist eine brasilianische Melodic-Death-Metal-Band, die 2006 von Sänger Sergio Mazul und Keyboarder J. Augusto gegründet wurde. Die Gruppe ist derzeit Teil des Künstlerkatalogs der EMP Label Group (unter dem Label von David Ellefson, Megadeth), die das zweite Album der Band, Lunar Manifesto, zu positivem Medienecho neu aufgelegt hat.
In ihren Anfangsjahren trat die Band in unterschiedlichen Besetzungen in Brasilien auf, darunter die Leadsängerin Katia Shakath, die „Last Night of Mortality“ ihre Stimme geliehen hat. Shakath wurde Mitte 2010 durch Mizuho Lin ersetzt. Seitdem sind Semblant ihren Siegeszug in der internationalen Metalszene angetreten.
Jetzt kommen sie Anfang 2022 im Rahmen ihrer Europatour auch in die Rockfabrik Übach-Palenberg.

Semblant is een Braziliaanse melodieuze deathmetalband, die in 2006 werd opgericht door zanger Sergio Mazul en toetsenist J. Augusto. De groep maakt momenteel deel uit van de artiestencatalogus van EMP Label Group (het label van Megadeth-lid David Ellefson), die het tweede album van de band, Lunar Manifesto, heruitgebracht heeft, geprezen door de de media. Tijdens hun vroege jaren trad de band verschillende keren op in Brazilië uitgevoerd met verschillende muzikanten in de line-up, waaronder de eerste zangeres, Katia Shakath, die verantwoordelijk was voor de vocalen op Last Night of Mortality. Shakath werd medio 2010 vervangen door Mizuho Lin. Sindsdien brak Semblant langzaam door in de (inter)nationale metalscene. Nu komen ze voor shows begin 2022 naar Europa en zo ook naar de Rockfabrik in Übach Palenberg (D) op 9 februari 2022

Semblant is a Brazilian melodic death metal band formed in 2006 by vocalist Sergio Mazul and keyboardist J. Augusto. The group is currently part of the artist catalog of EMP Label Group (Megadeth member David Ellefson’s label), which has reissued the band’s second album, Lunar Manifesto, to acclaim by the media. During their early years, the band performed several times in Brazil with different musicians in the lineup, including lead vocalist, Katia Shakath, who was responsible for the vocals on Last Night of Mortality. Shakath was replaced by Mizuho Lin in mid-2010. Since then, Semblant slowly broke through in the (inter)national metal scene. Now they are coming to Europe for shows at the beginning of 2022 and also to the Rockfabrik in Übach Palenberg (D) on February 9, 2022
