SHE PAST AWAY ist ein Dark Wave / Post-Punk-Duo, bestehend aus Volkan Caner (Gesang, Gitarren und Songwriting) und Doruk Ozturkcan (Schlagzeug, Synthesizer und Produktion). She Past Away experimentierte mit der alten/neuen Ästhetik der Synthesizermusik in ihrem Gitarrenkern und schmiedete einen Sound, eine Haltung und eine Sensibilität, die durch eine auf Türkisch gesungene minimalistische Poesie vermittelt wird, die das Publikum durch eine dichte, kontinuierliche epische Reise mitreißt ihre Aufnahmen und Live-Auftritte.
She Past Away veröffentlichten im April 2009 ihre von der Kritik gefeierte erste EP „Kasvetli Kutlama“ über Remoov. Nach der digitalen Veröffentlichung des Debütalbums „Belirdi Gece“ im Februar 2012 wurde die Band 2013 bei Fabrika Records unter Vertrag genommen und kurz darauf sie veröffentlichte „Belirdi Gece“ im LP-Format. Mit „Rituel“, „Ruh“ sowie „Kasvetli Kutlama“ wurde das Album von post-punk.com als eines der besten Alben des Jahrzehnts 2010–2019 gelistet.
Mit der Veröffentlichung ihres Nachfolgealbums „Narin Yalnızlık“ im Mai 2015 etablierte sich das Duo als einer der einflussreichsten und erfolgreichsten Genre-definierenden Acts der Dark-Wave-Musik und erzielte zahlreiche Publikumsmagnete auf der ganzen Welt.
Im Dezember 2018 unterschrieb die Band bei Metropolis Records und veröffentlichte beide Alben neu
in Nordamerika.
Die Band beehrte das Publikum im Mai 2019 mit einem wunderschön dunklen und treibenden neuen Album „Disko Anksiyete“ über Metropolis Records und Fabrika Records.
Im Mai 2020 feierte die Band ihr zehnjähriges Jubiläum mit dem Remix-Album „X“, darunter Remixe von Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, Clan of Xymox, Front 242, Lebanon Hanover und vielen mehr.
Im Oktober 2020 erschien die allererste Live-Studioaufnahme der Band mit dem Titel „Part Time Punks Session“.
SHE PAST AWAY ist ein treibender, hypnotisierender Ausbruch sentimentaler Angst durch die nihilistische Denkweise. Es ist beides
persönlich und breit, wie ein wandernder Geist, der mutig genug ist, Tabu und Existenz in Frage zu stellen.

SHE PAST AWAY is a dark wave / post-punk duo, consisting of Volkan Caner (vocal, guitars and songwriting) and Doruk Ozturkcan (drums, synths and production). Experimenting old/new aesthetic of synth music into their core guitar stuff, She Past Away forged a sound, an attitude, and a sensibility, conveyed through a minimalist poetry sung in Turkish, which sweeps the audience through a dense, continual epic trip in both their recordings and live performances.
She Past Away released their critically-acclaimed first EP “Kasvetli Kutlama”, via Remoov in April 2009. Following the digital release of the debut album “Belirdi Gece” in February 2012, the band was signed to Fabrika Records in 2013 and shortly thereafter they released “Belirdi Gece” in LP format. Including “Rituel”, “Ruh” as well as “Kasvetli Kutlama”, the album was listed as one of the best albums of the decade 2010-2019 by post-punk.com.
With the release of their follow-up album “Narin Yalnızlık” in May 2015, the duo established themselves as one of the most influential and successful genre-defining acts of dark wave music and scored numerous crowd-puller performances all around the world.
In December 2018, the band signed to Metropolis Records and re-issued both albums
in North America.
The band graced the audience with a beautifully dark and driving new album “Disko Anksiyete” via Metropolis Records and Fabrika Records in May 2019.
In May 2020, the band celebrated their tenth anniversary with the remix album “X”, including remixes from Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, Clan of Xymox, Front 242, Lebanon Hanover and many more.
In October 2020, the first ever live studio recording of the band was released with the title “Part Time Punks Session”.
